Image Products
at EyeInvent
> The following
examples show the differences between the different sizes of images
available at EyeInvent.
> The small image file below
(500 pixels wide) is
displayed in the gallery and has been optimized so that
the image appears more quickly on a web page. The file
is around half the weight of the
download file, and some very fine detail
is lost as
a result of the higher compression used. These images
are ideal for website highlights:

> The second example shows
a detail section from a medium image file that is
usually 900 pixels at its widest or tallest. These images
are great for website features and digital illustrative purposes:

> The third example shows
a detail section from a large image file that is usually
1600 pixels at its widest or tallest. These images are
perfect for website backgrounds and features, and can
also be used
for
small print publication features:

> The fourth
example shows a detail section from an extra large image
file that is 3000 pixels minimum at its widest or tallest, and up to 4200 pixels dependent on cropping.
These images are
perfect for website backgrounds
and features, and are also excellent for print publication
as illustrative features:

> Choose the appropriate
size of image according to your particular requirements
as enlarging images is not recommended because of the
loss in quality.
The following image shows the small sized image enlarged
on the left to the same size of the extra large image (a section
of which is shown on the right). Note how a significant amount of
detail is lost in the left frame of the comparison shot below:
